About 3Cs

To the local Kootenai County community, “3Cs,” an organization of women volunteers committed to raising funds to fight cancer and assisting with urgent needs within the local community.  3Cs is an outgrowth of the Cancer Crusaders Bowling League started in 1962 by the late Ellen Walden, after whom the Walden House is named.  3Cs was formally established in 1975 as a non-profit corporation and has been a registered 501c (3) non-profit corporation since 1993.

3Cs welcomes women from all walks of life who are interested in meeting new people and expanding personal interests.  3Cs members contribute not only monetarily, but can also volunteer their time and energy to help 3Cs achieve its charitable endeavors.  Members can support 3cs and have a lot of fun if they choose to belong to any of 3Cs Activity Groups.

3Cs largest fundraiser, their Annual Fashion Show, has made it possible to raise and then donate a significant amount of money to many Kootenai County charities.  Since 1962, 3Cs has given (through grants) over $2.7 million to local community charities.
